Mazda Coupe by Quan Ta Hoang

A carefully pencil-rendered sketch of a flame-surfaced front engined coupe. Quan has used pencil to show solid blocks of reflection to very good effect and in other areas has used shading to show gradients and interesting background textures.

The view is a perspective tilted side view and the bodywork is accurately drawn and feels nicely proportioned in an exaggerated way. The wheels are circular with no perspective shown on their ellipses so in my quick interpretation I have tried to show how you could do this for a slightly more realistic feel. I also think the large areas of pure white on Quan's design would benefit from some more subtle shading to show surface form with gradients - as done on the lower body-side and hood/bonnet.
